Face to face consulting in Tunbridge Wells or at a mutually convenient location gives us time to understand the photographic portfolio you desire and for me to explain everything I do and how its done. As importantly, chatting face to face lets us build a relaxed rapport. Already knowing and being relaxed around your photographer before the wedding is a key ingredient to creating more natural photographs on the day.

The first pre-wedding portrait session I did in Tunbridge Wells was for a couple wanting a stand-out image for 'save the date' invites to send to their wedding guests. We photographed in the grounds of The Beacon just outside Tunbridge Wells where they first met. Subsequent clients have had similiar requirements for printed imagery such as themed portfolios for their wedding guest book.
The 'Engagement Photoshoot' is probably the most frequent ask I get. Portraits of you both being yourselves together without a care in the world. We photograph in Tunbridge Wells or your preferred location elsewhere. Natural depictions of you both, in love and at your best. No pressures of the wedding day, no wedding guests to hurry to catch up with, all the time in the world to just be you. For young families the 'Engagement Photoshoot' easily morphs into a 'Family Photoshoot' instead.

Some brides today love the idea of having their own studio quality, magazine cover style portrait in their wedding dress. Its a pure celebration of you, your wedding dress, wedding shoes, jewellery and wedding hair and makeup. Everything pristine and perfect with studio lighting to suppliment the natural light available to bring out every last detail of your dress. Often it is done as part of your final hair and makeup test and final dress fitting. Ideally it is photographed in your Tunbridge Wells bridal suite (if it is available on the date), or a favourite location at your wedding venue. Of course at home can often work too in all but the smallest properties.
Then there is 'Trash the Dress'. A trend that arrived over here from America a few years ago. It is supposedly all about trashing the dress as you will never need it again now that you are married. However, often brides prefer to have a shoot where the dress is unharmed or might need just a little cleaning. The most memorable one for me so far was Bride Vs bridesmaides (in bridesmaid dresses) tennis on the courts in Dunorlan Park, Tunbridge Wells.
